Hot Jobs at the Fed (Summer/Fall 2006)

According to the November 2005 article by the Partnership for Public Service, Federal Brain Drain, 44 percent of all federal workers will become eligible to retire over the next five years. Four years later, 61 percent will have reached eligibility. In addition to these retirements, well over 200,000 federal employees are expected to resign over the next five years, resulting in a potential loss of nearly 900,000 workers.

The Partnership also publishes The Best Places to Work in the Federal Government study, in association with the US News & World Report.
